Sometimes, the tensioning screw above the button may become loose and the safety button may pop out or eject. Use these instructions if you still have the spring and button (you can use the existing one if you still have it) or have ordered a replacement kit.

Step 1: Remove the Quick Release from the steering wheel (if not already done)

Step 2: Using an allen key, loosen the tensioning screw above the hole for the safety button.

Step 3: Insert the spring into the replacement button.

Step 4: Press the button into the hole.

Step 5: Tighten the allen screw above the safety button. (Use blue colored thread locker if desired)

Finished! Your button is replaced and your quick release kit should hold the button with no problems.
